Jean Castanon serves as Vice President of Product Development at American Express, where he leads cross-functional teams responsible for U.S. digital acquisition experiences and the company’s flagship Member Get Member referral program. Jean brings a global, customer-first perspective to product strategy, with a focus on driving innovation, accelerating digital growth, and delivering high-impact user experiences. Since joining American Express in 2011 as a Strategic Planning Analyst, Jean has built a diverse career across marketing, business development, and digital product management, holding roles of increasing responsibility in both London and New York. His work has spanned the consumer, merchant, and enterprise segments, with a consistent emphasis on scaling platforms that enable seamless acquisition and engagement across channels. Jean holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Manchester Business School and a Master of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge. He recently relocated to New York with his wife, Rose, and enjoys discovering the city’s culinary and cultural scenes.
